File transfers between
RISC OS and Windows.
This page contains helpful advice on the best way to transfer files between machines of different types.
From PC to RISC OS:
This is the easy bit as the DOSMAP command in your Boot file can be used to interpret any incomming files and apply the appropriate file type. You should have an entry:
DOSMap CAD C33
to handle incomming ProCAD+ files.
From RISC OS to PC:
This is not so straightforward as Windows is not so helpful. Filetypes have to be replaced by extensions and some text files need to have an carriage return character inserted before each line-feed.
If you are planning to transfer files regularly to a PC you should consider using RISC OS 4 to gain long file name support, and if you will be using floppy discs then Warm Silence Software's Win95FS will sort out the file name problems.
But I've got hundreds of files to transfer!

You will find the details of how to use it in the !Help file inside the application itself.
