WhoDo is a genealogy program that stores its records for individuals in standard HTML files. HTML means that the files are shareable across OS platforms. It can import and export GEDCOM format versions 5.0 and 5.5. Sample master pages are provided which may be edited using the program itself, as it is based on a cut-down version of WebWonder. Family data may also be entered from scratch or existing data edited.

An individual's page contains much more than the usual record and has links to relatives up to three generations away in each direction, in addition to "his sisters and his cousins and his aunts". These are generated automatically.

When records are being created manually a special reciprocal link mechanism helps to reduce the amount of work. For instance, when an individual's father is being specified, the father's record's children field will automatically be updated.

A dialogue box exists in which the relationship between any two individuals may be tested and from which a family tree may be created for one of the individuals, as a Draw file. This may subsequently be translated to PDF using my Draw2PDF program.
